199 Fremont
I was the Senior Project Architect for this 25 story tower in San Francisco, a Bechtel Properties development built in 1998 that featured innovative structural systems, HVAC, and glazing to create a modern, column-free interior office space with an abundance of natural daylight . General Motors Tech Center
When General Motors decided to consolidate their far-flung satellite design and engineering teams into one building on their landmark Saarinen campus north of Detroit, KMD Architects won the nationwide design competition and completed the project. I was the Senior Project Architect for the design phase of this expansive, 2,000,000 square foot complex, which used innovative structural solutions, HVAC, and cutting-edge glazing technology to create a wonderfully open and interactive workspace for more than 10,000 employees. Presidio Golf Club
When the Presidio of San Francisco was returned to public use in the 1990’s, the world-class golf course needed a new clubhouse to host events, dining, a pro shop, and an underground garage for golf cart storage. Working in the vernacular of the old Presidio structures, this design commands the entry to the course while blending in to the natural beauty of the Presidio itself. Sun Microsystems
Tech companies move fast. Back in 1998, Sun Microsystems ‘put the dot in dot.com”, and we designed and built this tech campus for that purpose in one year’s time from concept sketches to tenant occupancy, a ‘bullet track’ schedule made possible by the tight collaboration and work ethic of an incredible team.
